Part of special collections librarianship is the ability to accurately and effectively describe information objects. This assignment tasked students with selecting a rare book from a library’s special collection and to create a report about its structure, what the book’s history and subject matter is, and its bibliographic details.

This annotated bibliography provides a list of published materials regarding organizational practices and theories within libraries along with a brief synopsis of each material’s content.
